Mera is an app for iPhone and iPad. You photograph the clothes you already have, and it makes outfits from them.
How it works
Photograph your clothes
Take a photo of a piece, or pick up to ten from your library at once. Mera cuts each one out of its background and names it, and you can correct anything it gets wrong. You can also photograph an outfit you are wearing, and Mera lists the pieces in it.
Ask for help with what you own
You can ask for:
- outfit ideas, with today's weather in mind if you allow location
- a capsule for a trip or an office week
- an audit of your wardrobe: what to keep, refit or let go, and what to wear it with
- a check before you buy something
- a list of what your wardrobe is missing: what to buy first and what can wait
Add a style profile from one photo of you
From a photo of your face, Mera makes a first guess at your color season, body type, style archetype and visual weight. A full-length photo helps with the body type. Each part shows how sure Mera is, and you can change any of it. Outfits follow the version you keep.
Today's outfit also appears in a Home Screen widget and on Apple Watch.
Free and Premium
Everything in Mera works on the free plan. Two things are counted each month:
- Looks. A look is one styling request: an outfit, a wardrobe audit, a capsule, a check before you buy or a list of what your wardrobe is missing.
- Renders. A render is one generated picture of an outfit, on you when Mera has your photo.
The free plan includes 10 looks and 2 renders a month. Mera Premium is an optional subscription that raises this to 200 looks and 30 renders a month, and uses a larger model to name your clothes and write outfit ideas. The price for your country is shown in the app before you buy.
Adding clothes, logging what you wear, your first style profile and everything you have saved never count against either limit.
Where your photos go
Mera's styling runs in the cloud, and the app asks before it sends your first photo. Photos go to Mera's servers, hosted on Cloudflare, and from there to Anthropic or OpenAI to produce your result. Apple provides the weather forecast and your iCloud sync. Mera keeps no copy of your photos, and holds the result for about an hour so a dropped connection can retry. Anthropic and OpenAI may hold a request for up to 30 days to check for abuse, longer only if it is flagged or the law requires it, and neither may use it to train their models. Your wardrobe, outfits and profile are stored on your device and in your own iCloud. There is no account to create.
