Terms of Use
These terms cover your use of the Mera app and this website. In them, "Mera" means the app and the independent developer who makes and runs it. Questions go to support@merastyle.app.
What Mera is
Mera is a wardrobe and styling app. It keeps track of the clothes you photograph, makes outfits and capsules from them, and gives you a style profile from a photo of you. Its styling features send photos and text to Mera's servers and to the companies named in the privacy policy, and only after you agree in the app.
Your license to use the app
Your license to use Mera is Apple's Licensed Application End User License Agreement (the Standard EULA). These terms add the parts that are specific to Mera. If the two conflict, the Standard EULA applies.
Who can use Mera
You need to be at least 13 years old, or older if the law where you live sets a higher minimum age for a service like this one. Mera is not meant for children.
The free plan
Mera is free to use. The free plan includes 10 looks and 2 renders each calendar month:
- A look is one styling request, such as an outfit, a wardrobe audit, a capsule, a check before you buy or a list of what your wardrobe is missing.
- A render is one generated picture of an outfit, on you when Mera has your photo.
The counts start again on the 1st of each month at midnight UTC, and unused ones do not carry over. When you reach a limit, new styling requests pause until then. Your wardrobe, saved outfits, wear history and everything else you have made stay available. Adding clothes and your first style profile do not use a look.
To keep Mera working for everyone, a device that sends an unusually large number of requests in one day may be paused until the next midnight UTC.
Mera Premium
Mera Premium is an optional auto-renewing subscription, billed monthly or yearly. It raises the monthly limits to 200 looks and 30 renders, and uses a larger model to name your clothes and write outfit ideas. It does not open any feature the free plan lacks.
- The price for your country and the length of each period are shown in the app before you buy.
- Payment is charged to your Apple Account when you confirm the purchase.
- The subscription renews automatically for the same period unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period.
- Your Apple Account is charged for the renewal within the 24 hours before the end of the current period.
- You can manage or cancel the subscription in your Apple Account settings. On iPhone or iPad, open Settings > your name > Subscriptions. Cancelling stops the next renewal, and Premium stays on until the end of the period you have paid for.
- Refunds are handled by Apple under Apple's policies. You can request one at reportaproblem.apple.com.
- On a new device or after reinstalling, open the plan screen in the app and tap Restore purchases.
Style suggestions are not advice
Style profiles, outfit ideas, wardrobe audits, capsules, purchase checks and lists of what your wardrobe is missing are suggestions made by computer models. They can be wrong. They are not professional, medical or dermatological advice. You decide what to wear and what to buy, and you can change any part of your profile.
The color season, body type and style archetype frameworks Mera uses were created by others. Mera is not affiliated with or endorsed by their authors.
Your photos and content
You keep all rights to the photos and text you add to Mera. When you use a styling feature, you allow Mera and the companies named in the privacy policy to process what that feature needs, only to produce the result you asked for and, for those companies, to check for abuse as the privacy policy describes. Mera does not keep your photos afterwards, and holds each result for about an hour so a dropped connection can retry. You may keep and share the results Mera gives you.
Acceptable use
- Only add photos you have the right to use, and don't add photos of other people without their permission.
- Don't use Mera for anything unlawful, or to make pictures meant to harass, deceive or sexualize anyone.
- Don't try to overload Mera's servers, get around its limits, reverse-engineer it, or extract the models behind it.
Mera may refuse or pause requests that break these rules.
Stopping and deleting your data
You can stop using Mera at any time. Profile > Settings > Delete my server data removes what Mera's servers hold about your device; the privacy policy explains what that covers. Deleting the app on its own does not remove it.
Changes
Mera may add, change or remove features, and may change these terms. The date at the top shows when they last changed. If you keep using Mera after a change, the new terms apply. If you don't agree with them, you can stop using Mera and cancel Premium.
No warranty and limits on liability
To the extent the law allows, Mera is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind, and it may sometimes be unavailable. To the extent the law allows, Mera's total liability for any claim about the app or this website is limited to what you paid for Mera Premium in the twelve months before the claim. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that the law does not allow to be excluded.
Your rights as a consumer
Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under the consumer law of the country you live in.
